WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL!

Buvollen is a small school with 48 pupils and  13 in the staff. The staff consists of one secretary, a janitor, 2 cleaners, 2 daycare-assistants, 6 teachers and the principal.

Buvollen is situated in the middle of the small village Rudsbygd, and has a very nice outdoor area  with access to the forest, creeks, a river and many surrounding fields. In the Winter the handballcourt is turned into a skating rink, and we have a ski jumping hill and skislopes in the surrounding forest..

The school building itself is in good shape and has been remodelled in three different stages (in the 40s,-80s- and 90s). The local sports club helped repainting the outside of the school in 2001-02.

The janitor has repainted the halls innside the school last year. One of the classrooms was also remodelled last year.  It was the pupils of class 6 and 7, with the help of their teachers and the janitor, who did the work.

The number of pupils is stabile. Most of the pupils and their families have family roots in the village that dates back for generations. The school also serves as the local Community Center.
