European ClubS in Hungary

European Clubs in Hungary /an effective source of information and communication / - dimensions to contact other Europeans and learn about their countries and culture, cultural heritage /

Pupils in Hungary / - because of the present procedures of integration in our country into the EU - / are getting interested more and more in discovering others around them.

We feel deeply convinced that young people of Europe have to be prepared for me realities of me 21-th century.- They / members of "the old " and " me new" countries in Europe / must grow in awareness of the world around them, because the 21" century will be most certainly a much more intercultural and international setting than the present day world, and interdependent in different questions of every day life.

Educators, families and societies have important tasks in working out - how to convey knowledge of identities and diversity, ethics and values, interpersonal, intercultural relations of our world to me young people .To teach them and reach mem : - to provide all of them with meaningful opportunities to participate constructively in their lives, in situations of conflicts around them - in a changing world, - by

-sharing the treasures and values of the common European cultural heritage

-learning and practicing Human Rights in general and in their own lives and countries

-finding and keeping the roots of their own national - cultural sources

-keeping 'peace' in their own and wider surroundings by getting skills in understanding and handling conflicts

That is why we would like to offer good opportunities in me clubs to (he pupils and

provide schools and pupils with a source of information on the current events in Europe and new developments in their lives

give them a greater awareness of (heir own place in society, in their own country and - within Europe.

to give them opportunity to establish individual contacts with other Europeans in order to increase their abilities to communicate effectively and obtain live, real information about others, to break down stereotypes of peoples and countries and to enhance and allow pupils to interact with me others

to enable mem to work alone or in teams /for workshops or presentations/ - depending on me activity / suitable for their age and language knowledge and special skills/

to increase confidence and self-esteem in their own work and own input in me different activities and practices of the European dimension

to fi n d and realise what we have in common in Europe
