Day of Knowledge

At the 1-st of September all students in all schools, colleges and universities all over Russia celebrate Day of Knowlege. At 2002 it was not the 1-st of September, but the 2-nd of September as it was Monday.

Here are some essays of our students about their impressions in this day.

Natalya Smirnova

In our club "Korabel" was a disco. There were a lot of people, students from all courses. But majority was a students of 1st course. And for girls from 1st course was a competition "miss 1st course". I took part, it was very interesting. There were "miss dance", "miss body", "miss ..." and so on. But I was "Miss 1st course". I was very happy! I like this party because I met many interesting people & I like dance.

It was a great day for me. In the morning we met near the University. I heared a lot of wonderful words. In evening my friends and me went to the disco. There were many competitions for girls in club. I was interesting and made great impression to me.

September 2 in Russia we celebrated Day of Knowledge. For me this day was the beginning of new, adult, student's life. I have entered in State Sea Technical university. September 2 I have met many friends, which together with me entered this university. After an official part in institute all of us have gone in pub, where having stayed up to the evening, spoke about last summer vacations and about the future.
