Women Day

The Women Day (8-th of March) is the best holyday for Russian women. It is a cause for all men, boys and guys congratulate their mothers, wives, daughters, grandmothers, girl-friends. Every woman of any age has present this day. It can be first spring flowers: pink, mimosa, and tulips. It can also be a postcard with self-made short poems. Here is the example of such joyful poem:

Women! I love You unconscious.
I cannot keep my balance
When You knock me down with Your smile.
I am ready to be in love and to suffer from You!

The history of this holyday is connected with ancient Rome. There was a special Women day for noble women. All free borne women, who were married, got presents from their husbands. They were surrounded by love and attention. Even slaves women had not job that day. Rome women visited temple of Divinity Vestal, who was a keeper of home hearth.

When it became necessary to work on fabrics, women began to defend for their human rights. At 8-th of March 1857 American women - textile workers of New York City held a demonstration over town streets. They were protesting against the low earnings and bad trade conditions.
At 1908 the granddaughters of those women were intending this day the child trade be stopped. Next year a social party of USA declared the National Women Day at the last Sunday of February. At 1910 Clara Catkin in Copenhagen during the International Conference of Women proposed celebrate International Women Day at 8-th of March. She wanted it would be a memory about New York's events.

Russia celebrates Women Day from 1913 till nowadays. It is a favorite celebration for all Russian Women. It is a real holyday of Love and Spring in our country. But in some countries this day is not a holyday now, it is an ordinary working day there.
Russian women are surrounded to flowers, love, poems and caress this day. And they recommend to all the European women to have such a pleasant holyday.
