The Galych Euroclub is the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Youth Public Organization, which is located in the picturesque region of the Ukrainian Carpathians. The age of Galych Euroclub members 15-28. The Euroclub members are senior pupils, students and young teachers of educational institutions and other young people, who are interested in the international youth co-operation. Several members of the organisation are older (according to the Ukrainian legislation), but no more than 1/3 of all organisation members.
We successfully cooperate with the Delegation of the European Commission in Ukraine, government establishments and number of Non-governmental Ukrainian and international Youth organizations.
The purpose of the organisation activity
extension about the European social process;
youth international co-operation development;
study and dissemination of the information about the EU;
support to the comprehensive harmonic development of the young person, the development of his initiative, leadership, sociability, European outlook and European perception
Close co-operation with the Delegation of the European Commission in Ukraine allows us to work actively on the following directions:
- informational activity :
for
example, books dissemination about the EU among the youth organisations and
educational institutions of the region; participation at the all-ukrainian
competition What I know about the EU? in April-July 2002. The competition
task is to examine knowledge of competition participants, what they know about

International
youth co-operation:

Visit of Euroclubs leaders of
Ukraine to Brussels
(to
the invitation of JAC, Representative Rik de Brauwer)
Program visit included
meeting with Mrs. Christina Walcher of the External Relations
Directorate-General of the European Commission, Charlotte Franckx of the
International Youth Co-ordination Agency, Head of the Mission of Ukraine to the European
Communities in Brussels Mr. Roman Shpek. We also visited a number of
organisations, which are dealing with the youth. This visit helped us to
enlarged our view about the informational and educational activity of the
European Commission, youth policy of Belgium.
We
organized:
-
the
International Youth Summer Camps in the geographical
centre of Europe August,
2000;
-
International meeting of youth organizations
leaders from Denmark, Austria, Poland and Ukraine in July 2001 in
Ivano-Frankivsk city (From the Europe of Empires to Unique Europe). This
project was financed by the Delegation of the European Commission in Ukraine
under the participation of their representatives.
-In the summer 2001 was held the international
youth ecological training camp in
the Ukrainian Carpathians.
The participation in international youth
conferences in Poland and Russia (2001-2002).
And now we prepare :
-
interesting training project : Mastering of the methods of
initiative and leadership development by the members of the European youth
unions;
